The Prince lab welcomes undergraduate students who are motivated and committed to learning about research. If you are interested in volunteering as an undergraduate research assistant, please send your CV/resume to mark.prince@colostate.edu. Dr. Prince typically reviews volunteer inquires during the academic year. 

The Prince lab is an ideal fit for students interested in learning about research methodology and statistical data analysis in the context of substance use disorders. 

Research experience that undergraduate students could gain during their time in the lab may include the following:  

  • Conducting literature searches 
  • Designing a survey using Qualtrics 
  • Quantitative data analysis using R and/or MPlus 
  • Qualitative data analysis using thematic analysis or machine learning methods (e.g., structural topic modeling) 
  • Presented posters at conferences
  • Publishing peer reviewed manuscripts
