Research on Intoxication and Substance use with EEG
What is this study about?
The RISE study at Colorado State University is using electroencephalography (EEG) to measure how cognitive skills are impacted by the consumption of cannabis and alcohol, both individually and in combination.
Who can join this study?
To join this study, you must be between the ages of 21-50 years old and have experience using cannabis and alcohol together.
What will i be asked to do?
Our mobile laboratory will come to your place of residence where you will be asked to consume alcohol only, cannabis only, or both substances before completing a series of computer and balance tasks while an EEG cap measures your brain activity.
Why should i join this study?
We aim to explore what cognitive skills are impacted by alcohol, cannabis, and the use of both substances together by measuring brain activity through an EEG cap. By relating these cognitive skills to traditional roadside intoxication measures, our results may aid researchers and professionals in developing new roadside impairment tests. You could be compensated up to $99 for your participation in this advancement towards science!
