Don Rojas, Ph.D.

The primary focus of my research endeavors for the past 20 years has been on neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorders, fragile X syndrome and childhood onset psychoses. A major theme in my work has been the identification of heritable biomarkers in autism, using non-invasive neuroimaging and electrophysiological techniques in first-degree relatives. Much of that work focused on auditory temporal processing, brain oscillations, and gamma-band timing deficits. More recent work has focused on oscillatory brain activity and motor processes, as well as sensory aspects of emotion processing.
