Skin and Hair Influences on Neuroimaging Effectiveness for Functional Near Infrared Spectroscopy
The purpose of this research study is to examine the influence of skin color/melanin content and hair curl/thickness/length on fNIRS. fNIRS is an optical imaging technique, and in theory, absorption of infrared light by melanin could interfere with measurement of brain activity.
