Dr. Vanessa Loaiza and first-year graduate student, Emma Rhodes, presented their poster about their ongoing meta-analysis of age differences in working memory at the annual meeting of the Psychonomic Society in Denver, USA. The project is a collaborative effort with Dr. Candice Morey and Dr. Kara Bopp. The feedback from visitors was great, and we look forward to sharing more news about our work in the future!

Dr. Vanessa Loaiza co-organizes a major conference for cognitive psychology

The European Society for Cognitive Psychology (ESCoP) holds a biennial conference (i.e., every odd year), which took place in Sheffield, UK from September 2-5th, 2025. Dr. Vanessa Loaiza was one of the two co-organizers of the conference, which brought together nearly 800 delegates from 36 different countries. The conference was a big success, featuring fantastic keynotes and scientific presentations from across the discipline, multiple satellite events to promote professional development opportunities, and a variety of social activities that were intended to bring together scientists of all different career stages while showcasing the best of Sheffield.
