Accomplishments include:<\/p>\n<h3>Graduation<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Megan Gardner Weishaar<\/strong> graduated from the Counseling Psychology doctoral program in 2024. She is currently a Rehabilitation Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Washington School of Medicine, Harborview Medical Center.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sam DiCecco<\/strong> graduated from the Cognitive Psychology program through the Molecular, Cellular, and Integrative Neurosciences program in 2024. He is currently working as a Postdoctoral Fellow on the NIDA T32 Training in Genetic and Neurobehavioral Mechanisms of Addiction Program at University of Minnesota.<\/p>\n<h3>Internship Matches<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Elizabeth \u00a0Lucci-Rimer<\/strong> is completing her internship at Denver Health Medical Center in Denver, Colorado, this upcoming year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vanessa Joachin<\/strong> is completing her internship at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she will be specializing in infant and early childhood mental health.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Laura Hogan<\/strong> is completing her internship at Colorado State University in Fort Colins, Colorado.<\/p>\n<h3>Dissertation Defenses<\/h3>\n<p>2 students passed their dissertation defense to earn their PhD:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Laura Hogan<\/strong> &#8211; Using Structural Equation Modeling to Assess the Relations Between Exercise, Identity, and Psychosocial Outcomes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sam DiCecco<\/strong> &#8211; Development of a Behavioral Measurement of Sensation Seeking Personality Trait and Its Association with Negative Health Outcomes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vanessa Joachin\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; <span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Intersectional Multilevel Modeling as a Method for Intersectional Analysis of Inequity in Mental Health Distress Among College Student-Parents<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>Thesis Defenses<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Patrice Arkfeld<\/strong> &#8211; Using Machine Learning and Cohort-Sequential Modeling to Predict Suicide Attempts Among Colorado Adolescents<\/p>\n<h3>And More<\/h3>\n<p>Several of us proposed dissertations and theses, submitted and published peer-reviewed manuscripts, and presented at conferences.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re looking forward to continuing to work hard, have fun, and support each other.<\/p>\n<h3>Thanks for a great year, Dr. Conner!<\/h3>\n<p><strong>&#8211; Development of Addictive &amp; Risky Behaviors Lab Grad Students<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CONGRATULATIONS!
